Predators in the Sky

I have two sets of permanent resident eagles and great horned owls. I'm thinking of setting up an ark.

The owls are my favorites.

The peanut lover decided to squawk up a storm in the cedar trees. Plenty of peanuts. Problem= one human near the watering hole.





They're BACK---The Eagle Cafeteria



This weekend I didn't really realize that I had become an eagle cafeteria. Fishing isn't the only draw here on our little eden. Wood rats in the wood pile are the real draw and the entree of choice this morning.

One of the last runs of the season up Fall River Road in Rocky Mtn National Park. Golden light on gold dollar leaves.

 



Meadowlarks in the Back Pasture

A stroll out to the back pasture revealed some interesting residents. Meadowlarks and kestrels.

While I was out there to check the fenceline I received numerous cat calls from the meadowlarks.
